Global University Advisors (GUA) exists so that International Schools of all sizes and geographies can implement world-class university counseling programs. To accomplish this, GUA offers a comprehensive program designed to enhance and develop a school’s existing resources for university counseling.

What does GUA offer?
Mentorship and Professional Development
GUA provides expertise, support, and training to a school’s existing counselors or educators. This is done with a mentorship-first approach. We provide counselors with exposure to different perspectives, sharing of best practice, and help foster a sense of community and mutual support between families and school staff. We offer rich resources and insightful data, empowering counselors in their role as a university advisor.
Evolving Global Expertise
GUA provides international school counselors with a wide range of knowledge and skills for students who wish to study in Europe and North America and throughout the world. University admissions realities are constantly changing within and across countries, and we offer schools tools and resources that aid university counselors in expanding their knowledge across the globe and staying current with the evolving trends.
Playbook for Excellence
GUA provides a unique playbook for collaboration between students, parents and their school counselor. We identify and can deliver or train school counselors to deliver meaningful content and programming to students and families. Our training includes: writing strong College Essays, Personal Statements and Letters of Motivation, developing the student’s ‘College List,’ assisting students develop a comprehensive CV/Resume, presenting workshops and seminars to students, parents and faculty.
Understanding our services and policy
Since the services provided by GUA are advisory in nature and the final decision on selection of colleges rests with the student and family, it is understood that GUA does not guarantee acceptance to any particular college. GUA’s recommendations are based on the accuracy of information provided by the student. Fees are not accepted from institutions or programs for referral or placement of a client as according to NACAC ethical guidelines. The primary obligation of GUA is the welfare of the student. Designated fees are payable whether or not the student gains acceptance to the college of choice. Extra services are provided for an additional fee or the hourly rate. If the student wishes to apply to more than 10 schools then an extra fee will also be requested. All UCAS, University of California and OUAC applications are considered as one application
